World of War
If we do fight,
And fight we shall,
I pray it would be one of love.
One because we show too much,
rather than not enough,
One wherein the problem shall lie in service,
not in the art of giving,
but in receiving
Our affections.
this is what I dream for every night,
for with you, my love shall never end,
And I hope,
neither shall yours.
yet this is only a dream,
One I shall forever strive to make reality.
I know you will too,
that's why I married you.
I wish the world were this way.
A world of love, not mostly of take.
but it isn't.
so let this be our fight,
just me and you,
As I dream of our world of war,
tonight.
